author Jim Hinckley weaves a rich and colorful story about adventurers, visionaries, eccentrics, and innovators.
In this fun filled, fast paced odyssey through time you will meet Louis Chevrolet, the bicycle manufacturer and racer, and Dr. Jackson who spent $8,000 to win a $50 bet and was the first person to drive an automobile across the United States. And you will also be introduced to Charles Richard Patterson who was born into slavery and became the first African American automobile manufacturer, and Florence Lawrence, the first superstar of the silver screen, a prolific inventor that transformed the automobile.
